If you are a regular reader then you will know that I love saving money and that I never pay full price for anything. I can’t remember the last time I made an online purchase and didn’t use a discount code. Up until recently, to find discount codes, I would manually search for them on Google which was time consuming and often resulted in a lot of trial and error, with many of the codes I found being out of date or not applicable. Plus, I always worried that somewhere out there, there was a better discount code to be found.
But all this changed recently when I discovered the Honey browser add on. It’s so simple. Click here to install the Honey browser extension, and any time you are shopping online, once you hit the checkout stage, Honey will pop up and prompt you to click the orange button to ‘apply X coupons’. Honey will then search through its vast database to find discount codes for that particular shop, apply them one by one, and then finally end by applying the biggest discount its been able to find.
If it hasn’t been able to find a working discount code, you can still earn ‘Honey gold’ which are essentially points that can be redeemed for gift cards. I’ve just cashed some of mine in for a £10 Amazon voucher.
I am so happy with Honey – I recently bought a sofa bed from Made.com and Honey was able to find me a code that gave me £30 off. Because I was curious, I tried to find the same code via Google to no avail. I love how with just one extra click you can potentially save a lot of money. I highly recommend that you check it out!
